Cold feet do not warm up on their own. Thick socks only keep in the heat you already have, and by the second hour at the game or on the trail there is not much left. These make their own.

A thin heating panel runs under the whole foot and over the instep, so the warmth reaches the toes, where it is needed most. Press the button on the cuff to switch on, press again to step between four levels, and press briefly to check the battery. Each sock has its own rechargeable battery that sits in a pocket at the top of the cuff, away from your boot.

They pull on like a regular knee-high sock, with a padded heel and toe. Wear a thin sock underneath for the best feel, then lace up for the sideline, the deer stand, the ski lift or the drafty kitchen floor.

Your boots keep the cold out. These put the warmth back in.

One size, unisex, knee-high. The sock measures about 19.7 in long laid flat and stretches to fit most adult feet and calves.

Heating: thin carbon fiber panel under the whole foot, front and instep. Four levels: about 104°F (40°C), 113°F (45°C), 131°F (55°C) and 149°F (65°C). One button on the cuff.

Battery: two 5V 5,000mAh polymer battery packs, one per sock, each about 2.2 x 3 x 0.6 in and 3.3 oz. Run time per charge: about 7 hours on 104°F, 5 to 5.5 hours on 113°F, 4 to 4.5 hours on 131°F and 3 hours on 149°F. Charges in about 3 hours over USB-C (5V 2A).

Fabric: soft, thick stretch knit, mostly polyester (85%) with cotton. Padded heel and toe. Imported.

Care: take out both batteries and tuck the plugs into the cuff pockets. Put the socks in a laundry bag and machine wash cold on gentle, or hand wash without rubbing the heating area. Lay flat to dry before use. Do not tumble dry, iron or bleach.

How to use

1. Charge both batteries fully before first use.
2. Plug each battery into its sock and tuck it into the cuff pocket.
3. Press and hold the button to switch on. Press to step through the four levels.
4. Press briefly to see the battery level: 25, 50, 75 or 100%.
5. Press and hold again to switch off.

Safety

• Start on the lowest level and check how it feels.
• Do not sleep while they are switched on, and do not use them on a child, or on anyone who cannot feel heat or switch them off themselves.
• Do not use them if the sock, cable or battery is wet or damaged.
• If you have diabetes, poor circulation, reduced feeling in your feet or another health condition, ask your doctor before using heat.

Wrong size? Size exchanges are free: email us within 7 days of delivery and we ship the right size at no cost. No need to send the first one back. One exchange per order.

To return them for a refund, they need to be unworn outside, unwashed and complete, with both batteries and the cable. Switching them on at home to test the heat is fine. Email hello@wintermae.com with your order number and we'll send the return address. Return shipping is paid by you, and a $15 restocking fee is taken from the refund on heated items. Refunds go back to your original payment method.
