Cold starts at the ground. These insoles put the heat exactly where it gets in, under your toes and the ball of your foot, and you set the level from a small remote on your keychain. Nothing plugs in while you wear them. The battery is built into each heel, so there is no cord up your leg and no power bank in your pocket. Trim them to your size with scissors and your boots feel like they came with heating built in.

Press H as you step out the door and the heating panel under the front of your foot reaches 122°F in a couple of minutes. Once you are warm, drop to L for a steady 104°F that lasts the whole day. The remote clips to your keys, so you never bend down or take a boot off to change it.
Underfoot it feels like a good everyday insole: lightweight, soft EVA foam that gives with every step, under a microfiber top and a breathable, sweat-wicking mesh layer that keep your feet warm without leaving them damp. They are made for boots and roomier everyday shoes: ankle boots, snow boots, work boots and walking shoes. Take out your boot's own insole first and they sit flat. The heel is slightly thicker where the battery lives, so very slim sneakers and dress shoes are a tighter fit.

Size and fit
Unisex, two sizes. Small fits US women's 5 to 9 and men's 4 to 7 (EU 35 to 40). Large fits US women's 9.5 and up and men's 8 to 12 (EU 41 to 46).
Both sizes trim down with ordinary scissors along the printed lines on the underside, so they fit your shoe exactly. Stop at the line marked near the heel, where the battery sits.

Specs and care
Three heat levels: low 104°F (40°C), medium 113°F (45°C), high 122°F (50°C). Up to 10 hours on low and about 4 hours on high per charge, as rated by the maker; very cold weather and the high setting shorten it. Rechargeable battery built into each heel, with a charge light. CE and RoHS marked.
Wipe clean. Don't machine wash or soak them, and let them dry before charging.
How to use and safety
How to use
- Charge both insoles with the USB cable before first use.
- Trim them to your size along the printed lines if needed, and slide them into your shoes.
- Press the power button on the remote, then H, M or L to set the heat.
- Press power on the remote again to switch them off when you take your shoes off.
Safety
- Start on the lowest setting and check how it feels.
- Do not sleep while it is switched on, and do not use it on a child, or on anyone who cannot feel heat or switch it off themselves.
- Do not use it if it, the cable or the battery is wet or damaged.
- If you have a health condition or reduced feeling in your skin, ask your doctor before using heat.
- Keep the insoles dry inside the shoe and switch them off when you are not wearing them.
Shipping
Orders arrive in about 8 to 11 business days in the US, with tracking, and shipping is free. Canada: about 13 to 18 business days; prices are in US dollars and Canadian sales tax or duties may be collected on delivery. For delivery before Christmas, order by December 1.
Returns and warranty
You have 7 days from delivery to return or exchange it.
To return it for a refund, it needs to be unused outside, unwashed and complete, with its battery or power bank, cable and pouch. Switching it on at home to test the heat is fine. Email hello@wintermae.com with your order number and we'll send the return address. Return shipping is paid by you, and a $15 restocking fee is taken from the refund on heated items. Refunds go back to your original payment method.
Need a different size or color? Same 7 days. Return shipping is paid by you, there is no restocking fee on an exchange, and we send the replacement once yours is on its way back.
Arrived damaged, faulty or the wrong item? Email a photo within 7 days of delivery and we'll replace it or refund you in full. No return shipping and no restocking fee. See the full returns policy.
2-year warranty: if your insoles or remote stop working under normal use within 2 years of delivery, email hello@wintermae.com with a short video showing the problem and we send you a replacement pair. It doesn't cover insoles trimmed past the marked line, washing or physical damage. Warranty details.

How long does a charge last?
Up to 10 hours on low and about 4 hours on high. Start on high, then drop to low once you are warm.
Will my feet sweat?
They're made to warm your feet without overheating them. The top is breathable, sweat-wicking mesh under microfiber, and the low setting is gentle enough for a full day.
Are they safe?
They are CE and RoHS marked and run on a small built-in battery, not mains power. Turn them off when you take your boots off. If you have reduced feeling in your feet, ask your doctor before using any heated product.
Will they fit my shoes?
Best in boots and roomier shoes. Remove your shoe's own insole, trim to size along the printed lines, and they sit flat.
I use a wheelchair, or sit for long stretches. Will they still work?
Yes. The heat comes from the panel, not from walking, so they warm your feet whether you're moving or not. The remote means no bending down to adjust them, and a long sit on low is where the 10-hour run time pays off. If you have reduced feeling in your feet, check with your doctor before using any heated product.
