This policy explains what information Wintermae collects when you use wintermae.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. The Site is operated by Wintermae, India.

What we collect

Information you give us: your name, email, shipping and billing address, phone number, and the details of what you order. Payment card details are collected directly by our payment providers and are not stored by us.
Information collected automatically: your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you visit and how you got here, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
Information from others: delivery status from carriers, and fraud-screening signals from our payment providers.

How we use it

To process and ship your order and send you order updates. To answer your questions and handle returns. To send marketing emails if you have signed up (you can unsubscribe with one click in any email). To run and improve the Site, and to show you relevant advertising on platforms such as Meta and Google, including through their pixels. To prevent fraud and comply with the law.

Who we share it with

Shopify, which hosts our store and processes orders. Our fulfillment center, which receives your name, address and order details to pack and ship your order. Payment providers, to take payment and screen for fraud. Carriers, to deliver your package. Email and advertising platforms, to send the emails you have asked for and measure our advertising. We don't sell your personal information.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to run the store and checkout, analytics cookies to understand how the Site is used, and advertising cookies to measure our ads. You can control cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will stop checkout from working.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as needed for tax, accounting and returns, typically 7 years. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your account data at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or targeted advertising. US residents in California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas and other states with privacy laws can exercise these rights by emailing hello@wintermae.com. We don't discriminate against you for exercising them.

Children

The Site isn't directed at children under 16 and we don't knowingly collect their information.

International transfers

Our store, fulfillment and service providers operate in the United States and elsewhere, and we are based in India. Your information may be processed in those countries. We use providers that commit to appropriate safeguards.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your account password safe.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed, and we will tell you about material changes by email or a notice on the Site.
